Pre-Treatment Instructions
There are several things that can help decrease the side effects when receiving filler injections. Incorporating these simple things can reduce swelling and bruising.
3-5 Days Prior to Injections
Please Avoid the Following"

Avoid Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Aleve, etc.

Avoid Alcohol
-
If you get cold sore around your mouth, please ask the doctor for a preventative prescription of antiviral medication to take for 3 - 5 days before your injections.

Stop taking these supplements: Ginger, Ginko, Fish Oil, Vitamin E
Helpful tips:

To help with bruising and swelling start taking Arnica or Bromeliad capsules one week before the injections.

Eat pineapple daily.
Post-Treatment Instructions
After your treatment with dermal fillers you might have some redness, swelling and bruising. This is normal and can last up from seven (7) to fourteen (14) days.

USE COLD COMPRESSES IMMEDIATELY AFTER TREATMENT TO REDUCE SWELLING. IF THE INCONVENIENCE CONTINUES BEYOND SEVEN DAYS OR IF OTHER REACTION OR SIDE EFFECTS OCCUR, PLEASE CONTACT YOUR INJECTOR AND DOCTOR

AVOID TOUCHING THE TREATED AREAS FOR SIX (6) HOURS FOLLOWING TREATMENT. DO NOT MASSAGE THE INJECTION SITES THE DAY OF THE INJECTIONS. AFTER THAT, THE AREA CAN BE GENTLY MASSAGE

DRINK LOTS OF WATER. FILLER IS A WATER LOVING MOLICULE THAT WILL OBSORB THE WATER IN YOUR BODY

USE A CLEAN LIP OINTMENT OR LIP HYDRATOR TO HELP WITH CHAPPED LIP

YOU MAY SHOWER AND APPLY MAKEUP THE FOLLOWING DAY

SUNBATHING AND COLD OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES SHOULD BE AVOIDED UNTIL ANY REDNESS OR SWELLING DISAPPERARS

AVOID EXCERCISE FOR 24 HOURS POST TREATMENT

AVOID ALCOHOL FOR SIX (6) HOURS AFTER TREATMENT

YOU MAY TAKE ANTI-INFLAMMATORIES IF YOU HAVE ANY PAIN; THIS SHOULD BE ENOUGH. YOU MIGHT DEVELPOE A HEADACHE AS A RESULT OF THE INJECTIONS

YOU MIGHT SEE SOME BRUISING OCCURRING ONE (1) TO TWO (2) DAY AFTER THE INJECIONS AT ANY OF THE INJECTION SITES. THESE WILL EVENTUALLY GO AWAY IN SEVERAL DAYS

IF YOU HAVE PREVIOUSLY SUFFERED FROM FACIAL COLD SORES, THERE IS A RISK THAT THE NEEDLE PUNCTURES COULD CONTRIBUTE TO A RECURRENCE. SPEAK TO THE DOCTOR ABOUT MEDICATIONS THAT MAY MINIMIZE A RECURRENCE

WE WOULD LIKE FOR YOU TO RETURN FOR A POST INJECTION APPOINTMENT IN FIVE (5) TO SEVEN (7) DAYS
